CYDNEY
KIDD, MBA.
Cydney Kidd is an indirect procurement executive with more than fifteen years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, and enterprise procurement leadership. She has spent her career in the rooms where the decisions happen, negotiating the contracts others inherit and finding the savings others cannot see.
She founded NorthStar Procurement Consulting, LLC on a conviction earned across that career: indirect spend never receives the attention it deserves until it is too late, and the organizations that act first hold a decisive and lasting advantage.

A CAREER SPENT
WHERE THE MONEY HIDES.
Early in her career, Cydney noticed something that would define the next fifteen years of it. In every organization she worked at or assisted, the largest budgets commanded the spotlight while the spend quietly flowing to IT, facilities, travel, marketing, and professional services renewed itself year after year, untouched by strategy and unquestioned by leadership.
She watched the same pattern repeat with striking consistency. Contracts renewed by habit. Suppliers who had never faced a genuine negotiation. Categories of spend that belonged to no one. Million-dollar line items treated as fixed costs, when in truth they were negotiations waiting to happen.
And when leadership finally turned its attention to the problem, it was almost always too late. The money had already left. Worse, the talent to recover it was nowhere to be found. Experienced indirect procurement professionals were rare, in demand, and already committed. Companies facing urgent needs could not find the help they required, and they could not find it quickly.
That gap is why NorthStar exists. Cydney founded NorthStar Procurement Consulting, LLC to be the place companies turn the moment the urgency arrives: a firm led by a professional who has sat on the corporate side of the table, who knows precisely where the savings hide, and who moves with the speed the moment demands.
Indirect spend never gets the spotlight until it starts costing you. By then, every quarter of delay is money left on the table.
